Team Up to Rescue the Cats and Dogs of Hurricane Michael

Malik’s Gifts is teaming up with the Jacksonville Humane Society to rescue cats and dogs displaced by Hurricane Michael. All donations made to Malik’s Gifts to support the effort will go directly to the care and rescue of animals impacted by Hurricane Michael.

Our Effort

In preparation of Hurricane Michael, the Jacksonville Humane Society has taken cats and dogs from Florida shelters in its direct path, providing them immediate safety and freeing up local resources to care for an influx of animals who were lost, abandoned, or made homeless by the storm.

In the storm’s aftermath and with whole communities devastated, there are a growing number of animals that are in urgent need of treatment, care, and shelter. As part of the effort to meet this need, Jacksonville Humane Society will be flying 200 cats and kittens to Delaware, where the Brandywine Valley SPCA is mobilizing their community to place relocated animals in forever, loving homes.
